Hakuba Ski Resort
Ski and Snowboard Packages 2009/2010

Hakuba is located north west of Tokyo. There are 7 resorts in Hakuba valley – Hakuba 47, Goryu-Toomi and the Olympic ski resort of Happo-One at the southern end and Iwatake, Tsugaike, Norikura and Cortina to the north. Each has its own charms and terrain that keeps beginners to experts alike well satisfied. Most are easily accessible by shuttle bus from the village of Hakuba. Your Hakuba Valley Liftpass is valid at all the resorts.

Transfer time is approximately 4 hrs by train and bus. On arrival at Tokyo Narita, you need to catch the airport express and bullet train to Nagano. From here you will be transferred by bus to Hakuba. Private transfers can be pre booked to take you from Narita to Hakuba; however these can work out to be quite expensive. Why not take advantage of the efficient Japanese courier services that operate out of the airports, so you can send your luggage as soon as you pass through customs. The service is safe and reliable and usually delivers overnight. Trains have limited luggage space.

Luggage sent from Hakuba to either Narita or Kansai airports requires luggage to be sent two days before departure.

HAKUBA – Hotel Viola

Located in Happo village, 7 minutes to Happo lifts, hotel viola is a charming hotel that offers both semi-Japanese & western style rooms all with their own bathroom. Facilities include wireless internet, a coin laundry, ski room, indoor & outdoor hot spring & restaurant with both Japanese & western cuisine. The ski resort shuttle to Hakuba 47, Hakuba Goryu & Iwatake departs from the nearby bus stop. Choose to have Breakfast only or Breakfast & Dinner included.

HAKUBA ~ Villa Hakuba –

Villa Hakuba is located directly at the base of Saka lift, Happo one with virtually ski-in/ski-out access. The property is modern 28 room property with either twin or triple beds and all with ensuite bathrooms. There is a restaurant and bar with western and Asian cuisine, a coffee lounge, karaoke room and equipment rental. Choose to have Breakfast only or Breakfast & Dinner included.

Includes:

• 7 Nights triple share, hotel room, Villa Hakuba.

HAKUBA ~ Mominoki Hotel -

The Mominoki is situated at the base of the mountain – only 3 mins walk to Kokusai lift. Rooms are spacious & very comfortable with a choice of western (2 x single beds) or Japanese futon bedding. Facilities include 2 restaurants, indoor & outdoor natural hot springs (rated in the top 10 in Japan), equipment rentals, coin laundry and access to shuttle and bus services to the regions other ski resorts. Breakfast included.

We have many other properties available for booking from economy pensions to deluxe hotels.

Ski/snowboard hire, and/or lessons CANNOT be pre booked for Hakuba. These can however be arranged locally. There are a number of English speaking ski schools. Skis and boards can be hired in Hakuba but boots in larger sizes are not readily available. It is advised that you take your own equipment.
