Parking at Thredbo:

Thredbo offers large designated day and overnight car parks. Many accommodation houses have on-site parking but for those that don't offer it, overnight parking is available at Friday Flat. There is a free shuttle bus that operates throughout Thredbo at regular intervals from 7.30am – 9pm (midnight on Friday and Saturday nights).

Don't Feel Like Skiing?

If Mother Nature has dished up some inclement weather conditions or if skiing just isn't for you, don't despair. Thredbo has a number of activities to keep you occupied throughout your holiday:

Thredbo Leisure Centre

The Thredbo Leisure Centre offers3 indoor heated pools, a waterslide, a gymnasium, squash and raquetball courts, a rockclimbing wall and a sports hall with volleyball, basketball, netball and badminton.

Snowshoeing Tours

If you can walk, you can snowshoe! What better way to exploreThredbo's back country and get a feel for the Alps? A three hour tour will take you through the spectacular granites of the Ramshead Range or through the beautifulsnow gums of Dead Horse Gap.

Snow Climbing Adventure

Scale a snowy mountain face using ice axes - not for the faint hearted! With all technical gear, qualified guide, insurance and relevant permits included, just bring along your skis or snowshoes and prepare for the high altitude adventure of a lifetime!

Shopping & Dining

Thredbo has a number of boutiques and specialty stores to cater for those with a shopping bug. Stop for lunch at one of Thredbo's many cafes, restaurants and bars.

Perisher Blue - Accommodation - Lift Passes

Perisher's Highest elevation: 2054m

Number of lifts: 50

Hours of lift operation: 8:30am - 5:00pm dependent on conditions

Perisher's Longest run: Approximately 3km

Terrain: Ski and Snowboard parks, halfpipe, snowtube park

Night skiing/snowboarding: Tuesdays and Saturdays - 6:30pm - 9:30pm (weather permitting) Night skiing is free of charge for children only who hold a valid 5 or 6 day pass including Tuesday. Adults must pay an extra charge.

Parking at Perisher Blue:

On-snow parking at Perisher is limited to selected properties. Day-parking is available in the Perisher carpark, however overnight parking is not permitted.

The Skitube:

As overnight parking is extremely limited in Perisher, we recommend using the Skitube, an underground train running from Bullocks Flat Terminal, approximately 20km from Jindabyne. Access is via the Alpine Way. Parking is free in the Bullocks Flat Terminal carpark.

On arrival at the Perisher Valley Skitube Terminal use the courtesy phone (next to the Hans Oversnow Office) to organise oversnow transport with your accommodation. If your accommodation does not offer courtesy transfers, Hans Oversnow can arrange transport to your accommodation.

Selwyn Snowfields - Accommodation - Lift Passes

Great for beginners and families on a budget

Terrain: Snowtube park, toboggan area, cross country

Night skiing/snowboarding: No

Parking at Selwyn Snowfields:

There is ample parking for skiers and boarders at Selwyn Snowfields, with 800 parking spots. As there is no accommodation at Selwyn, the resort caters only for daytrippers and thus only has daytime parking.

Parking at Falls Creek:

Falls Creek Ski Resort is above the snowline, offering true ski-in, ski-out convenience, meaning no vehicle access to accommodation facilities. On arrival into Falls Creek, unload your luggage and passengers at the Oversnow TransportTerminal. Resort parking attendants will then direct you to a suitable car space for the duration of your stay and a courtesy vehicle will return you back to the Oversnow Terminal. Oversnow Transport operates regularly until late each day.Payment is made on arrival.
