Getting To Perisher
Self Drive, Transfers and Flying to the Snowy Mountains

Travelling to Perisher:

The NSW Snowfields are easily accessible with direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to Canberra or Snowy Mountains Airport (Cooma). From there, you can either hire a car or catch a coach transfer to the snow.

Snow Chains: It is a requirement that all vehicles except 4WDs carry properly fitting Chains at all times within the Kosciuszko Nation Park. These can be hired at most service stations on your way to Perisher or we can organise them for you from our Jindabyne Hire Partner.

Parking: There is NO overnight resort parking available. Limited parking is available at specific accommodation houses. Free overnight security patrolled parking is available at the Bullocks Flat Skitube terminal.

Oversnow Transfers: Some on snow properties offer courtesy oversnow on arrival and departure (see individual property details) otherwise oversnow is available from the Perisher Valley Skitube Terminal at an extra cost. A courtesy shuttle bus operates between Perisher and Smiggins car parks daily until 6pm.

Kosciuszko National Park Entry: You will be required to pay an entry fee for the National Park which is $27 per vehicle per day. Alternatively you can purchase an annual pass for $190

Coach Transfers:

Getting to Perisher via coach has a number of options. You will need to first get a flight to Canberra from there you can get transfers Jindabyne and Perisher.

 The Ski Tube

As overnight parking is not available at Perisher (some properties have limited private parking), we recommend using the Skitube, an underground train running from Bullocks Flat Terminal, approximately 20km from Jindabyne. Access is via the Alpine Way. Parking is free in the Bullocks Flat Terminal carpark.

On arrival at the Perisher Valley Skitube Terminal use the courtesy phone (next to the Hans Oversnow Office) to organise oversnow transport with your accommodation. If your accommodation does not offer courtesy transfers, Hans Oversnow can arrange transport to your accommodation.
