Getting to the Snow
Jindabyne, Perisher and Thredbo
By Air
Virgin Blue and Qantas airlines fly into Canberra Airport on a regular basis. Qantas is the only airline operating from Sydney to Canberra,Virgin Blue operates from other centres. Canberra is approximately two hours from Jindabyne by car (190km).
Rex flies into Cooma Airport which is approximately thirty minutes from Jindabyne by car (45km).
Shuttles can be organised from Canberra or Cooma airport and major bus depots to both Jindabyne and the resorts. Contact Skibus on 02 6456 2957 for fares.
By Road
Driving from Sydney
Follow the Hume Highway from Sydney then just south of Goulburn take the Federal Highway and travel south to Canberra. This section of the trip is on a mainly divided road. At Canberra follow the signs to the Monaro Highway to Cooma. The road then joins the Kosciusko Rd that you follow through the town of Berridale and onto Jindabyne. Just past Jindabyne Town Centre take a left onto the Alpine Way to Thredbo or continue straight ahead to Perisher Valley.
Driving from Melbourne
Follow the Hume Highway from Melbourne to Wodonga. Take the Murray Valley Highway "To Wodonga / Tallagatta" exit and follow the signs "To Tallangatta" Then after passing Wodonga follow the signs to Tallangatta again on the Murray Valley Highway. You pass through the village of Koetong onto Corryong. Drive through Corryong and take the "Khancoban" turn off on your right. Once in Khancoban you are only 76kms from Thredbo. For Perisher Valley and Jindabyne continue past Thredbo until you reach a T junction approximately 30km from Thredbo. Turnl eft for Perisher Valley and right for Jindabyne.From here the drive to Perisher is truly spectacular as you take in awesome views of the Main Range and discover the beauty of the Kosciusko National Park. The roads are clear for most of the year but when a big snow fall hits, chains may be required for some 2-wheel vehicles.

Falls Creek
By Air
Either fly into Melbourne or Albury-Wodonga airports. If flying into Melbourne follow the by-road instructions. If flying into Albury-Wodonga travel from the airport to Wodonga and then follow the signs to Mt Beauty and then on to Falls Creek. Rex airlines fly into Albury-Wodonga. Qantas and Virgin fly into Melbourne.
By Road
Driving from Sydney
Follow the Hume Highway south from Sydney to Wodonga. Follow the signs to Mt Beauty. Continue through Mt Beauty to Falls Creek.
Driving from Melbourne:
Follow the Hume Highway from Melbourne to Wodonga, before reaching Wodonga take the exit to Mt Beauty. Continue through Mt Beauty to Falls Creek. Melbourne to Falls Creek
