Mt Buller offers self contained, lodge style and hotel accommodation. Accommodation in Mt Buller is fantastic for families as it is only 3hrs from Melbourne. There is limited parking at Mt Buller - over snow transport will take you and your luggage to your accommodation.

Resort Location

An easy three hour drive from Melbourne via Seymour and Mansfield, Mt Buller is close enough for a day’s escape yet far enough away for a holiday. The Mt Buller Village is situated picturesquely at the heart of the mountain, offering ski in, ski out accommodation and a huge range of bars and restaurants.

Parking & Transport

Driving in your own car or a hire car is only a short 3-hour drive from Melbourne via the Hume Highway or Maroondah Highway. Mansfield is the closest major town and what ever route you take to Mt Buller you will pass through Mansfield following the signs to Mt Buller.

Once you reach the base of Mt Buller (Mirimbah) you will be required to stop at the gate entry point and pay a fee to enter the Resort. Once through the gate entry point, continue up the road to Mt Buller. The Village is located above the snow line, you will be required to stop at a car park about 1.5km below the Village. At this point, you will be met by an attendant who will guide you to a parking spot.

From here, you can either jump on a free shuttle bus (for day visitors) that will take you up into the Village centre or get in a 4WD taxi (for people staying overnight) which will take you right to your accommodation.

If you'd like to drive to Mansfield but would prefer to sit back and relax for the trip up into the Mt Buller Village, you can always jump on bus for the last leg of the trip. Mansfield-Mt Buller Bus Lines provides regular services from Mansfield, Merrijig and Mirimbah, which means no chain hire or mountain driving.
