New Zealand Ski and Snowboard Packages
New Zealand offers a wide range of skiing and boarding terrain. Mt Ruapehu boasts it's active volcano, crater lake and some serious cliffs, while Coronet Peak in Queenstown is famous for light powder snow and ski-everywhere terrain. The New Zealand snow season runs from June to October. With most of the skiing done up in the mountains, this enables you to come back down and have a round of golf or take a jetboat ride.
Queenstown Snow Packages
Queenstown is the heart of what many consider to be New Zealand's premier ski region. From the town of Queenstown you can easily access the areas of Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Cardrona. This wide variety combined with mountain scenery, nightlife and a huge amount of off snow activities makes Queenstown one of the most exciting holiday destinations in the Southern Hemisphere.
Wanaka Ski Packages
Wanaka is the other main accommodation centre in the Southern Lakes District. From Wanaka you can ski or board the Treble Cone and Cardrona ski areas, and it also allows you access to some of the best heli skiing New Zealand has to offer. Currently a little quieter than Queenstown in terms of night life, it is the perfect place for the snow enthusiast.
Mount Hutt Package Holidays
Having the most reliable snow in Australasia, Mount Hutt can provide a skier or boarder of any level a challenge. Nearby are a number of smaller resorts such as Mt Cheeseman and Porter Heights which, on a good day, are definitely worth a look. Again, Mount Hutt can offer superb heli skiing opportunities as well.
Mount Ruapehu Ski and Snow Packages
Located on a semi-active volcano on New Zealand's north island 3-4 hours from Wellington, there are 2 ski areas located in the region Turoa and the strangely pronounced Whakapapa. Being a large exposed mountain, you do need to be aware that it can be affected by varying weather conditions - it is these same conditions however that can produce some epic late season snow falls.
